| does any one know if the jan. deadline to register is pertaining to building one of these kits,or just bringing ultralights in ? I read the fars but couldnt make heads or tails of it . maybe its the mek getting to my brain. thanks billy. |

It is my understanding the deadline is ONLY for those ultralights that are transitioning over from "fat ultralight" to experimental light sport. If not done by then they are a nice lawn orniment. :D

Dennis is correct, it only applies to existing/flying "fat" ultralights. I know because I also have a Challenger II which fell into the "fat" ultralight category. The Feb 1, 2008 date has nothing to do with new kit airplanes.
