Hey,
Attached is a pic of the factory Escapade
Trim Adjust. I was thinking of moving the
pivot point back to the bottom part of the
"V". I know this position gives clearance
to the front, so if this is correct, I'll do it
like this, but I wanted to know what you
guys have done.
Post pics of yours if you can.
Also, where can I get a knob like that?
I have glanced through AS, but I didn't
find any yet.
*** Ok, after I posted this, it came to me that
you have to have clearance on the back of the
lever for the wire adjust fitting...
Thoughts will be still be appreciated!***

Hey Johnny,
I thought the same thing about the clearance. I looked through my pictures but could not find any that were close up of the trim tab. I also looked for a ball to go on the top but gave up. I thought it would just take up more room at the top. The bar works just fine for me.
I am still working on the wiring. I did get the windshield cut today. That was scary.

Dennis,
The nylon washer should give a little
clearance for the fitting, & doubt we'll
have to use full down trim for anything.
A friend gave me a round knob with a threaded
hole in the back, so I think I'll stop by our
local Lowes Aircraft Supply Warehouse &
look for similar options. If I can't find any-
thing that I like better, I just bend the top
of the lever over to a 45 degree angle &
use this one. It will finish it off easily &
look pretty good too.

John,
I attached a pic of my trim lever mounting before it was painted and installed. I spent some time (too much) trying to figure out how to make and mount hits thing since the build manual was no help. The bare aluminum bar sticking up between the seats was not going to work for me, so I fashioned a disk out of 5/16 alum plate and glued and rivited it on. The only draw back to the shape that I can think of is some intrepid flyer might mistake it for the gear lever!
