I found this device in Cabela's today. They said they just got them in this morning. I immediately thought of using it for my own flying (don't we all just obsess with aviation)! Anyway the guy in the store said $150 for the unit, $50/year for service. This sit says the yearly fee is $99 and an additional $50 if you want others to be able to "ping" your location independant of your button pushing. Either way, I thought I would share. I'm always guilty of not calling enough when I'm off having fun and the wife is worried. This might just buy me more time away if she knows I'm safe, etc. Cell phones are good to, but I liked that she could track the plane as we were traveling. I bet Fossets family wished this were available a few months ago!
