Brett,

My only concern is vibration in the TC-88b. The rubber-mounted engine on a bike usually has less vibration at high RPM than the balanced engine. The ballanced engine being better at lower RPM. What engine rpm do you use for take-off and cruise? How would you describe the engine’s vibration at high RPM?

Take off RPM is between 4800 and 5200 just depending on how fast you climb. I am at about 5000 most of the time.
Cruise is anywhere from 4000 to 4400.
There is a little vibration. But very little I think it depends more on your prop as to how much. You can look at the video on the web and get an idea. That is just a camera setting in the seat. It cruises very smooth.

I flew out to visit the guys at Ace Aircraft, saturday, and found out a few things about the Harley engine. (88-B) It runs quite smoothly throughout the operating range. (of course they want to sell me one).
But he told me a few other things that lead me to belive that, when mounted properly, there should be no problems with vibration.

Thanx
