I have my wing tips cut out out and the nav/strobe light bases mounted etc. I see that the little triagular pieces that fit alongside the ailerons, is a couple of inches too short and also at the top end of said same, there is still a gap. Has anyone done anything other then use the factory supplied pieces?

Mine fit pretty good. I put a different leading edge on so had to do a little work to get it to fit. Hope the photo's help you.

FWIW -
Mine were short too. I made a small aluminum piece to bridge the gap (since I am afraid of fiberglass work) and glued/riveted it into place.
