I'm building a Volksplane VP-2 and will be working on the firewall this weekend. I'm sure you know about it, but for others it has a wealth of info. WW, Pat P, and Mark langford links are particularly good. I know when I first read about the Corvair Conversion I thought "Who would be stupid enough to put a Corvair on an airplane, Ralph Nadar had them recalled in the 60's. But, after reading how rugged, inexpensive and easy they are to build. I was hooked! The second page on PP site has engine mounting.
