(Going to shop Yard Sales and Thrift Stores) Back to top   planecrazzzy Joined: 01 Jan 2005 Posts: 177 Location: Minnesota Posted: Sat May 21, 2005 9:50 pm    Post subject: Sewing Mach Size   Hi,    I used a REGULAR sewing machine for my "Checkered" upholstery, Which is probly the THICKEST sewing you could do.......   BUT,  I bought the heavy upholstery needles , and upholstery thread...  If you get to an area that has multiple layers of material , Just "help" the machine through by pulling on the wheel  while feathering the foot pedal.  If you look in the background of my project "Checkered upholstery" you can see the "old"  "regular" sewing machine that I used.....
