My name is Scott Laughlin. I'm building a Corvair powered 601XL in Nebraska. Great to see a forum with this format coming into being. Along with building the CH701, I am building a Smyth Sidewinder, ( an RV-6 look-alike, about the size of a Mustang II) It is an all 4130 fuselage with Aluminim skin. As soon as I get a couple of tanks, I am going to put your Gas advice to work. Also, I need to do welding on the rudder pedals, and cabin on the CH701, so I am looking foward to it. I grew up on a farm/ranch in Eastern Colorado, and have ARC welded all my life, but I just have been a little relunctant about pressurized gas and FIRE!! Keep up the good work on your web site and 601 building!!
