Hi. My name is Scott Laughlin. I'm building a Corvair powered 601XL in Nebraska. Great to see a forum with this format coming into being.
Raised in South Louisiana, I'm 43 yrs. old married with two little girls.
Mechanical Engineer by trade.

HeyScott,
Thanks for the info in KitPlanes on Gas Welding. Along with building the CH701, I am building a Smyth Sidewinder, ( an RV-6 look-alike, about the size of a Mustang II) It is an all 4130 fuselage with Aluminim skin. As soon as I get a couple of tanks, I am going to put your Gas advice to work. Also, I need to do welding on the rudder pedals, and cabin on the CH701, so I am looking foward to it. I grew up on a farm/ranch in Eastern Colorado, and have ARC welded all my life, but I just have been a little relunctant about pressurized gas and FIRE!!

Keep up the good work on your web site and 601 building!!
