I've been flying since 1969. A lot of Mooney time, Cessna, and Piper. I've been a house builder, a boat builder, a house designer, and now a plane builder. A Zenith VSTOL 701 - Jab 3300 (I'm calling it V (very) STOL because the 3300 is approximatily 20% more power than the most used befor (120hp vs 80 or 100).

I'm just installing the windscreen and enclosing the engine. Everything else is done and ready to hang. I've been building in a small garage in my condo in central Phoenix. As soon as the fuselage is complete I'll be moving to a hangar at Deer Valley Airport in north Phoenix.

I'm using KitLog Pro to keep records of time, expense and photo library.

You can see my work... both the 701 and my aviation art at http://theplanefolks.net.

I'll try to answer or assist any 701 builders and can include photos of every phase.

Keep building... Let's fly
