Figured I'd start up some topics on the Corvair..... here's the remote oil filter mount I used.

It's a finely machined solid piece, not one of those crappy cast units. It has 2 in's and 2 out's which lets you use the other ports for things like Oil Temp/Press senders.
I use a K&N oil filter with it because the K&N has a 1" nut on the bottom of the filter with a hole in it for safety wiring.
It's a spendy mount at about $85 and it's heavier than a smaller cast piece so those counting ounces should forget it.... BUT it's bulletproof. |
