Dear Sir/Madam,
I am an A level student, Studying design and technology at Nether Stowe High school. I am writing on behalf of my client Carl Trollope who has identified problems with the brake handle and lever on the control stick of the Skyranger 3 axis plane. The following points are problems which my client has established:
* When you release the force from the brake after youve come to a stand still there isnt any sort of mechanism which keeps the brakes constantly locked.
* The cap for where the break fluid is replaced is repeatedly coming loose and is also very hard to get to with his fingers.
* The brake lever isnt the most ergonomically friendly of things; Its made out of stainless steel which can get very cold while flying and can be uncomftable
* The brake lever is also not moulded to the most ergonomically prosperous of shapes causing it to feel unpleasant whilst being handled.
I have decided to conduct a survey to gain information from current products and to see what the flyer would like to see in the product. My research is mainly aimed around the brake handle and lever but I plan to improve minor problems such as the ergonomics of the brake handle and lever.
Completing the survey will help to give me a better understanding of what the consumer wants to see in the product. This will help me to create a better prototype of the product which I will make in the school workshop.
