Just thought you might want to see what a friend of mine did for me....built me this instrument panel out of fiberglass. Did a fantastic job and all for dinner out!!! :D

Just finished with the instrument panel. Have to start the wiring now.
The height is to the cross bars. Not sure of the inches.

Looks like you're serious Dude!
Yeah, I just looked at your first PIX and then measured my plane's tabs & tubes. I think I'll stick with the large panel in my kit for now, even though yours is cooler (unless your fiberglass guy wants to sell me a copy, seriously). I bet he'd get steady business besides me, if he wants it. |

I am VERY happy with the way it turned out. I even have room to add a transponder when I win the lottery :wink:
I told him that he could go into business doing this. He handmakes motorcycle fiberglass grills etc. That's him in the above pic. He said he had enough work as it was and that it was not that easy making the panel. A one time deal... :)
I have the hammered gray paint on it. It fits really really tight with the bars but did get everything in after numerous trail fittings.
He also helped me configure my landing light brakets and the door locks. Will get some pictures up soon for those.
Here is a picture of his wife, Gloria, acting as a fake propeller. :shock:
