Here's a hoop that I made...Just in case of a nose over while getting the feel of my new Firestar II... It's 13 1/4" from the bottom of the cage.
It connects to the first cross tube at the rudder pedals and the front cross tube under the seat.... aprox 27" span... If there's a nose over the hoop will hit while the nose is 5" above the ground, saving my fiberglass nose cone, and my strobe light, and keeping my pitot tube from filling with crap |

Hey Guys,
Just an "update" on the Nose over hoop....
It's "WAS" used.....
Under different conditions , The plane nosed over ( about 4 times )
Once ,(first time) powering up to taxi closer to the Hanger door ( uphill , bumpy )
another , (parked)Wheel in a small rut....Tried to Taxi carefully....But the nose went over....
Two times - , While turning ( tight ) and using the left brake....( Bumpy ground )
Anyway , I took it off .... Went all of 2007 season without it.....No problem
Basicly , I put it on as a Training Wheel.... and it served it's purpose...
Here's a picture of the Plane now....
Gotta Fly...
