"Long Wing 34ft" or "Clipped Wing 28ft"

Post by vetteman4292 »

Thanks Doug for releasing the 2-place trainer video.
Sorry but I'm going to ask a stupid question.
What are the difference's between "Long Wing 34ft" or "Clipped Wing 28ft" on the 2-place Aero Trainer?
Performance wise is what I mean!! Floater vs. Faster??????

Thanks for your Help!

Hi Rob,

The long wing is a real floater, 24mph stall, very very gentle and forgiving with a liesurely cruise of 65-68mph and 2 place rate of climb of 800ft a minute.

The Clipped wing turns the airplane into a very responsive aircraft, stall speed up around 29-30mph, but increases cruise speed to an easy 80-85 mph and decreases 2 place rate of climb to 650 feet per minute.

Long Wing = local low and slow fun flying

Clipped wing= want to go somewhere and still have some fun while doing it.

Please let me know if you have any more questions or need anything else.

Sincerely,
Doug Hart
