Hi all. This is a serious problem. 912 UL has either quit in flight or had seriously reduced power on several occasions. Good piloting and luck has kept all intact. This is an aircraft with folding wings and fiberglass tanks which were promised to be ethinol safe by manufacturer. Our inital problem was water in the fuel due to leaking fill caps. Fuel system was drained and inspected. We found water where you would expect, filter and carb bowls. We continue to have problems such as engine losing power on take off. Inspection of fuel system shows NO WATER in filers or carb bowls, and everything clean as a whistle, no evidence of sludge from deterating fiberglass fuel tanks. I put a fuel pressure gauge in the fuel line and had a steady 4.5 psi fuel pressure in a static run up. I wonder if the first problems with water has clogged the internal filter in the fuel pump, but the pressure seems OK. any thoughts would be great.

Thanks

Check the "Main" jet in the carbs...

Rotax has had several problems with them becoming loose... They back out....

It happened to me.... and I know of a couple others...
