I just picked up a fixer upper firestar
its been 20 years since I flew the one I built---long ago

I live at 2100 ft, but I have the desire to visit a beautiful spot in the mountains
I would be doing take off's at 9994 ft

what should I expect to be different than, taking off at 2100 ft?

At that altitude, good luck getting out of ground effect. What is the service ceiling on a Kolb anyway?
