Fuse Completion?

Help me verify everything that I need to
do the fuse before I begin covering it.
Here's what I've got done so far...

Rudder pedals in.
Rudder cable bushing tubes in.
Seat assemblies & mechanisms complete.
Battery & Elt mounts complete.
Butt ribs installed.
Floor panels & elevator tunnel complete.
Side stringers mounted but not bonded.
Control sticks in.
Flap & Trim tab assy's done.
Vertical Stab installed & drilled, but not riveted.

Things to do...

I will drill front horizontal stab bracket & then
construct my flying wires.
I will install upper & lower stringers just prior
to covering.

I'm not going to cover the fuse until I'm ready to
cover the wings, which will be a while, I suppose.

Anything to do on the firewall now?  No motor yet.

Since I was away from my kit for several months, I
really feel like I'm starting over. I intend to do a
Saturday visit to the factory soon, to brush up.

Thanks gang!

One thing I can think of that I almost overlooked, was the inside covering if your going to upholstry the inside, as I did mine. If your going to do that, don't cut the rudder cables until you get the upholstry in, and that would be after covering and painting. I cut and fit the rudder cables first thing and then had to take them back out, so I could fit the inside fabric and upholstry over the cable guides.

Good point Roger.
I have been meaning to look where I need
to cover inside.
On the rudder cable guides, I just inserted
short pieces, but I do think I will try to make
these continuous in the passenger compartment.

I was going to wait on the rudder cables.

What else?

I did my fuel line and electrical cables from the battery; also the conrol wires from the battery contactor and the ELT.  I used Kydex panels for the inside and ran the rudder cables/solid tubing guides.  Basically I put the whole thing together once - wings, control surfaces, fuel tanks etc. etc. before starting the covering.

I completed the entire inside including "everything" before covering the outside.  This way I could get to evey nut and bolt.  I finished out the inside will all the carpet etc.  I think the only thing I did not do inside was the panel before covering.
