Finally fired up the T intercooled Suzuki

Post by Dave Krall CFII SEL SES »

It ran very smoothly at first crank and I don't know if it will even be audible at idle in the cockpit with headsets on...

The remote (Mustang style) radiators/intercooler took less engine coolant and oil than we thought and the cooling bank assembly looks smaller all the time!

My mechanic has become fond of these reliable little engines over the years and says it is not only very smoothe running but indicates gnarly amounts of power from the sound through the glasspac when it's momentarily reved up to near full RPM. Keeping our fingers crossed...

We'll put the 3 bladed, medium weight Warpdrive on and go to sustained full power today...

First Power Up

Post by Wes »

Dave,
Congratulations on the first fire up (bad choice of words) of the power plant!
I'll bet it sounds good.
Love to see some pics of the firewall forward muscle when you get a chance.

Thanks Wes,

We're so busy & behind schedule there's not time to make the pictures go into the computer box right now. If it flys, there'll be more to see anyway!
