Ok, builders (with little tailwheel time), here's something I wish I'd considered.
Insurance requires 25 hrs tailwheel. Tailwheel instruction (because you aren't going to rent one solo) runs about $100/hr and with average weather will take a couple of months to aquire. Something to think about: spread this out and chip away at it over the time of your build! Why? Because when you're done, you won't want to put your bird in storage like I will have to, then work for how ever many months it takes to get the tailwheel time so that you are covered (then fly off the 40 hrs experimental before you can go anywhere). Though done, I don't expect mine will break ground until 2009 spring.
Just a thought.
