Trim control cable

The trim control cable broke at the elevator attachment during the first flight of kit #151 (Continental O-200). We thought we must have nicked the cable on installation. We had enough cable length to reattach and resume flights. A later pre-flight found the cable broke at the trim control lever. When we called J/A to see if others had experienced this problem we learned that our kit had been supplied with .040 control cable. .060 is required. J/A was quick to send the correct cable. Y'all might want to check your cable for the correct diam.
When the cable broke in flight, it resulted in a fluttering of the control stick but no significant loss of flight control.
