Not of a highlander but of the job that pays the bills....barely.

I stuck the camera on the jumpseat with a timer and then touched up the photo to make it look like a painting.

There are many things that happen really fast when you are
flying an airplane. There is no sense in rushing any of the others.

I would much rather be looking down at the runway, than up at it.

I was playing around with my paint program and some pictures of my new Highlander the other night and came up with a few pics that I thought I should share with the group. It's a fun way to see your airplane before it's finished. Or maybe some of you would like to use the outlines of the Highlander in these pics to play around with your own paint schemes, modifications, etc?

It's nothing short of amazing what covering the landing gear, giving it a spinner, changing the shape of the top cowl minorly, and moving some stripes around can do to change the look of an airplane
PICT0050.JPG
Here is the "Stock" Highlander I started with.
PICT0050-1aaa.jpg
Here I've lowered the corners of the top cowl to windshield area, added a spinner, covered the open landing gear, and changed the stripes on the fuselage along with the N number
PICT0050-1aa.jpg
And here I've added a back window. Notice the "Helio Courier" look the Highlander is now starting to get?
PICT0050-5mm.jpg
And here I've added an Avid style wheel pant (to one side - I didn't like the look so I didn't waste any more time "painting" on that)

And here I went off the deep end to see what a Highlander on 8.50 tires with a real tall gear might look like...

I have been craving more photos and I just found this photo on Airliners.net of C-IWES I thought I would share it with you all. I am not sure about copyright etc. so I just added a link rather than post the photo.
