Hi
Am having trouble getting the wing tanks flush with the top of the ribs either side. I have removed some material from the front and back where it rests on the spar but don't want to make it too thin. The tank ptotrudes 1/8 th at the the top but is flush or below as you move to the front or back.
Is it absolutely neccessary to get it flush ?
thanks
Julian

wing tanks
Hi Julian:
My 9 gal. tanks stuck up abobe the rib about an 1/8 of an inch also, but I treated it as if it was flush and glued and riveted it down on that rib just as all the other ribs. One tank was flush and the other one was a little high. When I primed and finished, it's barely noticable. No one but you will ever see it, and I can't see that it would affect the preformance at all.
Just my thoughts.
Roger
