Gas Storage Tank?

Post by Johnny C! »

Hey gang!
I have been thinking all along about
putting a fuel tank in the back of a
pick up, so that I buy Mogas where
I can find it cheap, and stand on the
tailgate to fuel my Highlander.

Any one know where I can find something
like that? Or know someone that can make
one for me?

I have googled for a while, and I just think
these places like Northern Tool & others are
goofy for what they're asking for those things.

Just thought I would ask you's guys!

Later!

John
There are many things that happen really fast when you are
flying an airplane. There is no sense in rushing any of the others.

I would much rather be looking down at the runway, than up at it.

I went down to my friendly surplus drum vendor and bought a couple of blue plastic 34 gallon drums that were used as soda pop sirup (sp?) drums. They are nice and thick, have neoprene gaskets on the top bungs and the bungs fit a standard drum pump thread. $30 each. Three years and still no problems.

If I had known I would live this long I would have taken better care of myself.

I'd like to simply access the fuel in my road vehicle's tank somehow and pump it up into the wing tanks with a little 12v pump, since its fuel can be used in the plane. No extra tanks and very safe transport that way. I'm trying to figure a way around the anti-siphon device I heard most vehicles have.
