Weve got a few spare VGs

Post by gme9261236 »

Hey guys and gals,
We just bought 100 VGs from land shorter for the 100 bucks to help remedy the elevator authority problem that we have been having. We ended up using 1.5" spacing and used a total of 54 or 27 on each side.

We now have 46 extra left over if anyone is looking to add some on the underside of their stab. I think they charge around 1.50 per each one but they are all yours for a buck a piece if you are interested. I cant see us needing 46 spares.

I havent had a chance to fly it yet since we just did it tonight and I start a trip tomorrow but when I get home ill report how it worked out.

Id give them away but im not rich enough for that yet.

You might want to hang on to a few. I put them on a couple weeks ago and it seemed they were really stuck but a I've lost a couple already.

I figure we should be all set. We used the same super duper glue that landshorter recommends and they seem like a permanent fixture. We did the same to the upper wings almost 70 hours ago and those are not going to budge. I hope we have the same luck with the tail.
