Howdy everyone,

Lots of Tiger country down here in NZ. All is required for a LSA is a PLB but you couldn't get your wallet out fast enough if you went down in the back country, especially in a crash. So Kannad makes a 406AF compact http://www.aircraftspruce.ca/catalog/avpages/kannad406compactintl.phpwhich is basically without an internal GPS or the Ultra http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/avpages/kannad_integra.php?clickkey=37464 which includes an internal antenna and GPS.

My understanding is that the Compact is connected the GPS in the panel and in a crash takes the last position and transmits that.

Any words of wisdom oh wise ones?

Cheers

John
