EAA Certification Pack

Post by preacoupe »

For all you builders in progress, I would recommend strongly the EAA Packet for the Certification process. It not only gives you all the forms necessary, but much needed guidance as well as to how to fill out each of the forms.

On a side note, I just discovered a "New" wrinkle to getting your Repairman Certificate along with the Airworthiness Certificate. Apparently now instead of receiving it on the spot from the DAR, you have TO GO TO the local FSDO, or MIDO, and sit down with an FAA rep and prove you're the one who did, in fact, build your plane. The form now is 8610-2 I think. I am still saying it, "I'm soooooo close". But, did pass the Airworthiness, so flight is in the near future! Hello, Billy!
