Interior Carpet
What is everyone using for interior carpet? I have some lightweight carpet, what you would find in a car interior, at home and I'm debating whether or not to use it. Does anyone have suggestions for some super lightweight carpet?

Re: Interior Carpet
I'm using auto trunk felt. Much lighter than carpeting. Just google it, hundreds of sellers and it's reasonable.

Re: Interior Carpet
I used the black felt as well. VERY light and sturdy.

Re: Interior Carpet
I would think the trunk felt wouldn't be very durable for floor carpet. Are you planning to glue it down?

This made me laugh!
I used runner material from
Lowes, and it is a lttle heavy.

Re: Interior Carpet
I'm using the trunk felt that came with my kit in the cargo area, and the gray tweed- like carpet with the edges pre-bound, which also came with kit. It all looks pretty good.

Re: Interior Carpet
I used some extremely lightweight plasitic/rubber floor mat used with custom floor mats. Cut to fit, and then edge sewn. $40
Had a local upolstery shop make the covering for the fuel selector and flight control area. It also velcros to pieces under the seats. Padded carbon look fabric.

Re: Interior Carpet
...I will say Ozite actually looks like a pretty nice product, although some reviews say it can wear out pretty quickly in the passenger area (of cars).
