Video of SuperSTOL wing Construction

Post by Familyflyer »

I did a video last night before I covered the second wing. I figured a video might be a good help for others trying to figure things out. I hope it helps.

Very nicely done Troy!! If pictures are worth a thousand words.................videos are worth ten thousand! You made me realize I need to do a few more things before my wings are ready to cover!

Thanks.

Yep, that helps on my Highlander build, too. Thanks, Troy.

Troy,
Great video and let me add my thanks as well. I am exactly at the point of trying to figure out some of the stuff you covered in the video.

It seems like it did exactly what I hoped it would. Pictures are great but it is hard to explain stuff. Remember this is what I have done. I never did see any written instructions, so there may be better ways. This is the way that seemed to cover all the safety concerns I had. I will likely do more videos along the way.

Have fun.

Nice video, well done. Do me a favor and give some overall measurements as it sits with the wings folded, curious how much area it takes up.
Thanks

Wings are open and its almost ready to fly, but it is roughly 8'-9" and 23ft long over all. That's from memory from a while ago though.

Here is the final product. Final inspection is complete and I just need the paperwork back so I can fly. I hope it comes soon! I had fun doing the videos and I hope it helped many of you.

Happy flight!

Troy
Thanks! For the great video.
You have done a great job. Let us know how your performance is when you finally get to fly.I am interested in the performance of your cato prop. Not sure what prop I will be using.
I appreciate your attention to details.
Thanks! Oren
