My "white" portion of the hysol seemed dry and chunky. After much research I found that it is something that can happen to almost any epoxy, and all you have to do is heat it to about 100-120* (F) for a little while (long enough to make sure all of it is heated) and it will return to its normal creamy state. It seems to work the same as it is supposed to.
You can look up the data sheets on the hysol and they should tell you the max-min temps it can tolerate.
