I know a lot of you guys have your Rotax 912 ULS engines set up without carb heat, but I live in western Canada where we have a lot of moisture and am considering adding it. As far as I can see there some different ways I could so this.
1. Heat box. Has anyone put one of these in? I'm not sure where it would fit?
2. This solution from Lockwood:

Has anyone used this system?
3. I looked this up on the Rotax website and some users talked about a hot water system. I'm not sure if that is what the Lockwood part does.
Has anyone out there EVER had carb ice build up with a 912 ULS in a Highlander or does the higher temp of the air intake mean that never happens?
Many thanks.

Re: Carb heat
The CTLS that I fly has a 912 ULS and it does have a Carb Heat push pull type control knob. I have never looked at how it provides the heat to the carb though so I can't help with that.
