912 Carb drip pans

Post by gkremers »

For those with the 912 not using the rotax air box did you install the carb drip pans. I had them on my Pulsar but it will be a really tight fit on the left carb with the water hose.

Thanks

Yeah it gets a little tight in there but if you have a leak at your carb the only place it can go to is down and that's right on top of the exhaust pipe but with a little wrestling with it and some sweet words it can be done. I do think most folks put them in.

Thanks Gil.. I was thinking of putting one on the right carb and running the line from the left to the right. I know it needs to be in an area of equal pressure. They are also supposed to help as a heat barrier. They are back ordered till the end of May with CP and Lockwood.

Thanks
Gary

Does anyone have a set they would be willing to part with until mine come in?
