Hi All...I'm a couple of days away from ordering a Rotax 912ULS. As most of you realize the 912 comes with a bunch of expensive "options" (alternator, exhaust, radiator, Air Passages, etc. etc.)
In your experience are any of those "options" a waste of money (as in "it's easy to fabricate yourself'') or should I just get the whole wad?

Call Billy Payne in Brasstown at 828-557-4833. He'll keep you straight. And he can sell you the engine.
Better than calling him, go to the Just Plane Fun gathering at the Payne place Labor Day weekend and talk to him in person. And get firsthand ideas from lots of Highlander/SS builders with 912S engines.
