gap seals, top or bottom?

Post by Swoopjack »

Hello all. I am a new guy here trying to learn all I can. I am a firefighter paramedic with three more years until retirement. I plan to build a super STOL then. I am confused about those gaps seals though. Some people say put them on the bottom, and some people say put them on the top. one way has got to be righter than the other. Somebody help! SWOOP OUT...

Highlander has the flap gap seals on the top of the wing... It appears they are installing the SuperSTOL flap gap seals on the bottom... I assume it's because of the Fowler flaps.

Thanks chief. I do like your bird. I've been pondering on whether I need a Highlander or a SS. From what I read most orders now are for the SS. I still have about 3 years til I can order so I should be very well informed by then. By then the new model SS will be takin off in 50 feet and cruising at 120 kts!!haha
