Any highlander owners near KMSN?
Hello all,
I have recently fallen in love with the idea of building a highlander, and am wondering if there is some one on here who owns close to the Madison, WI area? I would love to see one and possibly have a seat in one just to see how my 6'3" 260 pound frame fits. If you're in the area and wouldn't mind letting me stop by to check it out, that would be great!

I can't remember who, but there was a guy near Milwaukee that built a couple. Worst case is wait for oshkosh, but that is a long way off.
Hopefully somebody in the area will be able to get in touch with you sooner.

Madred,
I am about 2 1/2 hours away, down in central IL. straight down I-39. Very easy drive if you are interested. You are more than welcome to come check it out. I am not flying yet, and the project has been on hold since Oshkosh, due to work load in the day job. I am slowly starting to get back to it, and hope to get it finished up here before the thick of winter hits.
If you currently fly, KPNT is the local airport, Id be happy to come pick you up if you want to fly down.

Come on Ben, you should say end of winter And not which winter. Don't give your self that kind of pressure for the whole world to read!

Dan Kretchmer is building Highlander N957DK south of Minneapolis. He's on the forum here as 957DK.
Paul Seehafer had Highlander N245H on Lake Dubay in central Wisconsin. I don't have current information, but he's still on the Google Map of owners and builders, https://maps.google.com/maps/ms?gl=us&i ... dg=feature. That map is not very current, but it may be worth a try.

Troy,
It was an attempted self motivation! Im hoping for a mild winter that never really "sets in"
(actually I am very motivated, but work wont allow the time right now)

Re: Any highlander owners near KMSN?
I have a Highlander in central wisconsin based at the Wausau airport (KAUW). It was a two time award winner. Unfortunately I can't offer you a ride as I have it somewhat apart for some upgrades (I'm going to sell it as I'm building another).
It might be a really good one to look at for ideas as it is a nice example of a Highlander. You can call me at 715 581 4381 if you'd like to see it.

Wasau might be a nice flight one of these weekends, I might give you a call! Not looking for a ride, but with it apart would I still be able to have a seat in your airplane just to see how I fit?
