Ok, good point re the turbo, I didn't know that. What is your static on the 82-38?
How many hours do you have on your engine at the moment?
Will definitely talk with Lonnie first before ordering.

I have a little over 300 hours on this engine. My static rpm is 5700 with my 82-38 Prince.

Thanks for that. Your engine is the same and your air density is similar to mine with our generally higher temperatures.

Any comments about the engine that you have seen or consider worth mentioning for day to day running?

I would think bringing down your rpm 100 rpm or so on climbout would make for even a better compromise toward cruise efficiency as unless you are doing serious mountaintop booney bashing the Highlander would still outperform pretty much anything else for STOL. Or at least that's how I see it.

Also, do we know how a big prop like the Catto or the Prince are going to affect our gearboxes?

What's the weight deferential between the bigger and smaller props? There's only so much Redrives can take, especially over time.
