Fuses Vs Circuit Breakers
Hi All...I'm getting ready to wire up the Highlander. Originally I decided to go with the old glass or ceramic cartridge fuses and now possibly automobile "S" fuses but somewhere I heard some rumors that there's a problem with these fuses ... but its all very hazy...thoughts?

I am using a version (single bus) of this: http://www.mihdirect.biz
A lot of good argument for auto fuses. Check the aerolectric list for some info.

I'm using the same thing as Dane, except I'm using the split bus version.

Nice clean looking panel.
Ton of switches, though!

Re: Fuses Vs Circuit Breakers
I decided to put a switch for everything. I can eliminate most of the switches on the right if I want to. All they do is turn things on or off. I think I'll leave them, though. Not too worried about switch failure.

I like auto fuses, too. I mounted the block on the back of the firewall, behind the panel. Cheaper than circuit breakers and simple to install, also much easier to make additions and subtractions to the system.
