broken matco brake pad questions

Hello,
I have a broken brake pad.

So Matco doesn't sell lined plates?
Only re-line kits?

Then what kind of press do I
need for the rivets?

Matco's website does not have a
lot of info, in my opinion, so
input please.

Thanks!

John

Edit to add***

Is it as simple as buying something like this?

Yes it is.
EAA has a video on line that steps you through the process.

Very easy once you do a couple.

Also, Matco has a reline service they call Swiftline. I think it works like Netflix for brake linings.

It's easy to DIY with the tool, I always keep a spare set of linings in inventory.

Jak is getting the part number for the
pads, and I am going to order this one.

I hadn't thought to check the EAA website.
Not much on YouTube about it.

Thanks!

As a follow up, I bought
the Rapco tool as pictured
above. It worked like a
champ! I like it because
it requires no hammering
on somewhat fragile brake
shoes.

I had Lima Charlie back
in the air Friday evening.

Be safe!

Good choice, I've broken a pad using my hammer-tool.

The Rapco Brake Rivet Tool RA-825 is Aircraft Spruce part #10-02065 (http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/topages/RapcoBrake.php).

Per Matco, the Reline Kit for 2 calipers is WHLBRL-1 (http://www.matcomfg.com/BRAKERELINEKIT-idv-3485-12.html). That's AS Part # 06-00571 (http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/lgpages/matcoBRAKERELINEKITS.php).

The Swiftline Kit is SWFT-1E (http://www.matcomfg.com/SwiftLineKitforBE5BrakeExternalCaliper-idv-3423-12.html).

If you have dual calipers, each kit will do one side.
