Hit a small roadblock on fitting my cowl. The hole in the cowl is smaller than the Rotax 912 prop flange! In order to make this work it looks like I will be removing the entire reinforcing lip around the prop flange hole on the cowl. I also have a prop spacer that won't make it any better, adding 1-2 mm in diameter. What have others done?

Re: Fitting Cowl
I cut mine out Fred. Didnt have a choice. Dont worry about the strength (I was at first), once the cowl is all fastened together, its pretty rigid. Remember to leave some clearance for engine movement, it moves quite a bit. I have about 3/8" to 1/2" of clearance around mine.

Thanks, I was worried about making it weaker too. Today looks like I'm cutting lots of fiberglass !

Re: Fitting Cowl
I cut mine from the back end making it shorter. It just touches the exhaust and almost against the radiator. I wish I would have done the front as well.

Fred,
Thought I would send a few pics that might help. I did use a 1" spacer from Saber on the prop flange, it gives you a little more room near the left from exhaust pipe. Mine is also set with a 1/4" space between the spinner back plate and the cowl.

Forgot one.
You'll also need to trim a good amount from the lower cowl to clear the muffler
Take care
