Hi,
Could someone tell me how much throttle stroke is needed on 912 to get max carbs open and a low rpm? I own a 2008 Highlander with the throttle control supplied by the factory and I'm not able to reach max carbs open and low rpm. When I adjust to reach max I'm not able to get lower than 2200 rpm idle. When I adjust for a good 1800 rpm idle speed I miss about 1/8'' on carb levers. It's like if I'd need 1/4'' to 1/2'' more throttle stroke to have a good idle and max power.
Thanks
Pat

Re: Throttle control stroke
How to get more travel on the throttle? Is the lever adjustable ? When I push to full throttle, it seems to have more room to go (3/8'' to 1/2'') but the throttle lever doesn't go farther. Because of that, I'm not able to get max rpm on carbs. Simply cannot figure out how to get more travel.
Thanks guys and sorry for my limited English.

Re: Throttle control stroke
Can you post some photo's of your carb levers?
Also, your choke will not operate very well,
unless you get your min idle speed to under
1800. 1400 is recommended for min rpm,
but after start up manually move to 1800
rpm for general idling. This will also help
you get the bird on the ground, as well.

There are many things that happen really fast when you are
flying an airplane. There is no sense in rushing any of the others.
I would much rather be looking down at the runway, than up at it.

Re: Throttle control stroke
I adjusted the carbs to get 1700-1800 rpm idle. But because of that, I'm not able to get max carbs butterfly open. About 1/8'' is missing on carbs levers to get full throttle. I need 1/4'' of throttle travel on my throttle control but can't figure out how to get it. It seems I can't adjust it to get the 1/4'' to 3/8'' left on the control lever when I'm full throttle. Is the throttle control lever usually adjustable or not?
