Axle Spacer

Good evening Gents,
I was preliminarily fitting my wheels and tires to the gear legs to move my project the another part of my hangar. I'm building a 16 X 50 shop in the rear so that I can work there in a heated area. Wife said, "Out of the basement"! anyway when I dry fit my wheels, it appeared that I was missing about 7/8s between all components and the nut. My One Design had a spacer, so it's not surprising that we need one. There is not one in my "kit'. So to the Highlander builders, what is needed?
Thanks in advance!
Bruce

Bruce, there is a spacer that slides over the axles. It is just a piece of tube that slides over the axle. It has one end machined flat, the other has a slight bevel to it. If you don't see it in your parts, you'll have to call the factory. It'll be obvious when you see it.

Here's an axle spacer mounted in a brake plate:

In my pile of parts, that is not there. Did you fabricant your spacer? I've constructed 3 aerobatic, plans built planes (1 Acroduster II, 1 Pitts S1-C, and the 1 Design). I just had to measure and order spacers from Spruce for each.

Very much appreciated Richard,
Bruce

No, I didn't fabricate the parts. I think they should have been in your "wheel mounting kit". My Bill of Materials simply lists the wheel mounting kit without a part number. It doesn't describe the contents of the kit, and I don't remember what parts were included.

If you don't have the wheel mounting kit, call the factory.

Hey Bruce,
I just wanted to let you know that I remember seeing those wheel spacers in my kit parts.
