912 Sensors

Post by jjacky »

Hi All..I am finally drilling through the firewall and getting serious about how much instrumentation I really need. I'm planning on oil temp and pressure but only the CHT off of cylinder #3 and perhaps no EGT. Am I missing anything here. With these barometric carbs is there anything meaningful about EGT. Is EGT historical data important. What say you Obi-Wan Kenobies?
Plan not to be the first at the scene of the accident!

I many times wondered why we monitor the EGT on a 912 when we can't do anything about it?

You can change the needle clip position.
