Hey Paul, any idea why the flap cable came off? That could've been bad. What was your final empty weight?

Thanks,

I flew over to Tripple Tree airstrip, and took a photo of my plane, and a photo of the grass. The runway is bent grass, I’ve played Golf courses that were not maintained this well. I can’t imagine what the owners paid to put in a 4000 foot grass runway with bent grass. I saw a slight amount of nut grass. It was Unreal.

That was a great idea for a photo location but your results we less than awesome. You need to do this again but either earlier in the morning or much later in the day. To mush shadow to make a really nice photo and this plane looks like it deserves a perfect photo. Actually a whole series of perfect photos. i have never been there but i know all about that runway. A beautiful place for sure. Looking forward to some much better photos! :D

I have posted a couple of more videos, take off and landing at Lake Burton in Georgia. Check out the you tube videos on You Tube. Search on superstol xl purple haze. I have 36.2 hours only 3.7 hours left to fly off the mandatory restricted area around KCEU.

Congrats on such a fine plane. Awesome on a stick. You guys really put that together fast. Burning those hours off too!

Was a great pleasure to follow your build. Thanks much for taking the time to do so! Keep us up on how the flights are going.

Looks like Oshkosh is in the bag.... pretty cool.

40.1 hours done at about 3:45 this afternoon. I’m driving my truck back to Dallas, I’ll spend a few day with the wife, take her out for a fancy meal, our anniversary is July 26th, so I’ll be in Oshkosh again for our Anniversary. I plan on flying back to Greenville Wednesday to pick up the plane and fly it to Oshkosh.

THANK YOU Paul!

I just returned to my North TX Apartment from flying in Paul's Outstanding Super Stol. What a beautifully built aircraft! And Paul flew it with confidence. Let's hope he takes it to all of the national Fly-Ins for everyone to see.

Cheers My Friend

I took about 200 pix the details of his construction, and the Oratex covering. Sadly there are no pictures of Paul and I. He is a wonderful gentleman, and fielded my 1000 questions with grace.

I go home tomorrow (to Ohio), and will be in my hangar, starting my Oratex covering, till I go back to work Monday.

Cheers

Bruce and I went flying. I was trying out my new TK1 Monster Shocks and my new Just A Hoot SuperSTOL baseball hat from Just A Hoot SuperSTOL from down under. All I can say is sweet, the hat did what it’s intended to do which is keep the sun out of my eyes, and the shocks worked great. I like the larger Diameter Shocks the plane doesn’t squat as much on the gear. We had a great time looking over the plane and going flying. The weather cooperated, only had rain north and south of the airport. As we were flying we kept hearing this noise on the passengers side, finally figured out his seatbelt was hanging out the door. I had the ATC tower controller asking for me to talk about the airplane. He gave us the phone number to the tower to call because he wanted to talk about the plane. FYI, I let Bruce have the stick until the noise issue.

I did get a couple of photos. You can see Bruce’s legs at the tail of the plane. I know Bruce has a ton of pictures.

I’m not big on pictures, everyone knows what Santa Looks like. I’m just a short version, that isn’t quite that fat. Ho, Ho, Ho get ready Christmas is coming.
