Given that it's getting dark earlier and I'd like to visible when operating around dusk, I decided to add some inexpensive LED lights on the gear legs.

I put it those exact same lights on the back of my tractor so I could see when blowing snow at night. They work great there.

I really like your lights, I like the prefabricated mounting bracket and I really really like the $$!

Re: Just added some landing/taxi lights to the gear...
I made a little bracket to mount my lights to the front landing gear bolts. The lights came from Crazed Pilot along with a little controller so they can be used as pulse or landing lights. I used a Single Pole Double Throw switch so the center position is Off, Up is for pulse, Down is for Landing. These lights were so inexpensive I decided to give them a try and if they didn't work I wasn't out much. The lights and controller work fine. I'm not sure how bright they are compared to other LED's but people tell me they are visible in the air. I like the small size, I don't need any more drag on my plane.

I put one of these little red strobes on the turtle deck and it also works great. I did not wire a switch to this light. Anytime the Master Switch is on, the red strobe is on. That helps prevent unintentionally leaving the master switch on and killing the battery. Of coarse I've never done that but I've heard it's happened to other pilots.

I used the Knutzleman Electronics wight tip Stobe/Nav lights and am very happy with them as well. I use all the strobe/pulse lights on every flight. No noise in the headset. I used shielded wire for the red strobe. The Knutzleman lights come with shielded wire as well. I had to run one of the wing tip light wires next to com antenna wire above one of the doors. I was worried I might pick up some noise on the radio but I didn't.

Re: Just added some landing/taxi lights to the gear...
I put a landing light on an unused bracket for the nose wheel version. It sits behind muffler and is angled for three point landing attitude, throws a usable beam for taxi and landing. Was worried heat from muffler would mess up the light but there seems to be no ill effects after 65 hours so far. I run it day time too from taking the runway to turning off the runway in pulse mode.
