SuperSTOL Door Trim?

Post by Clark in AZ »

How is this Door Trim supposed to be finished out?

For those that installed cheek windows instead of covering or aluminum, did you put rivnuts where the three clecos are in the pic? Some pics of lexan installed here would be great!

With the Titan cowling the boot cowl will cover it on the outside.

You will see the inside

This is what I did, sorry about the tape. I am not home to take a better one.

Rivnuts for me

Thanks for the response. I guess I need to grab my boot cowl and see how it fits then trim as necessary...

That tab just in front of the door post is the rear attach point for the boot cowl.

Chris told me to cut the boot cowl end flush with the inside of the door trim.

I came across this pic of Troy Branch's showing the cowl door trim fit...

Is this what you were talking about? Looks like Troy's doesn't quite come flush with the door trim...

Yep
Its up to you, and how you want it to look

Now that I think about it, if it goes all the way to the edge it might be a high spot that keeps the door overlap from laying flat.

Might want to put your door up there and see how it fits.

That's what I was thinking while looking at the pic. Maybe leave just enough for the door glass to fit flush.

Thanks again,
