Custom Data Plates!!

I had Mike make up a data plate, looks great!

Nice! I assume they are aluminum? Hard to tell from the pic.

Should be stainless steel to meet the fireproof requirement for data plates.

He made the Just air logo on his CNC mill so Im sure he could make plate out of whatever you request

Where does everyone mount the data plate on the Highlander or Superstol?

Mine is mounted just behind the pilot's door.

I mounted mine to the fabric on the left side of the fuselage, between the lower longeron and the side stringer slightly forward of the horizontal stabilizer leading edge. I used SS rivets backed with rivet washers with epoxy on the back of the plate to keep moisture and crud from getting between the plate and the fabric. You have some discretion on where you want to put it.

AC 45-2D
(1) Outside the aircraft so that it is legible
from the ground, either just behind and
next to the rear-most entrance door or on
the side or bottom of the fuselage near the
tail surface.
