Bending Stringer Spigot
I'm working on the installing the fuselage stringers and I noticed that the rear side stringer spigots are not the same angle on the frame. The starboard side points away from the frame more than the port side. The manual says you can "gently bend" these, but it's a short piece of metal and I'm concerned about breaking the weld if I try to bend it. I am not skilled in all the arts of building. Does anyone have a suggestion for bending this inward a few degrees? Is it safe or should I let it be. Thank you!

Re: Bending Stringer Spigot
Tighten an adjustable (cresent) wrench down on it and bend it where you need it. You wont break the weld.

Yep, thats the way I did it.
If you put a piece of stringer tube over it then you can measure from it to the frame in several places on each side to make them the same.
THEN - stretch a sheet over it to see how it looks.
I changed the angle on mine 3 times before I got the shape I was looking for.

Stretching the sheet is a great idea to see how it looks. I appreciate the tip!
