Lexan Turtle Deck

Post by BDA »

I weighed the lexan turtle deck just for kicks
With center brace, trim and camlocs it is more than 1/2 # lighter than factory aluminum turtle deck with camlocks.

I used the thin lexan in kit

Looks great! How did you do the closeout around your control sticks? What is it and how did you fasten it?

Thanks,
Clark

Clark
I made a piece of sheet metal that wraps from floor boards up and over the seat frame, with a hole for the stick that will have a Moose leather boot.
Pics to follow

Not turtle deck...

Close out panel, .020 aluminum

I used tube clamps (without the rubber) with rivnuts to make mount points, and I will hysol them to keep them from moving around.

Nice! I like it. Thanks for posting. I was thinking of something similar. Always nice to see how others are doing stuff.
