Gonna upgrade to milspec fuel lines

Post by Dave Krall CFII SEL SES »

I just don't know what kind yet. I like the flexible Mil Spec stainless braid, that goes to about 300 degrees before blowing and positive couplings rather than hose clamps.

The kit's black rubber hose full of fuel around the inside of the plane is less than appealing.

I understand

I understand what you are saying but I flew an ultralight open to the elements for 5 years with the same black hose for fuel.  No problems.  If not exposed to sunlight etc should last....?  Let me know what you decide on instead.

I'm thinking more of if it should ever come to crunch time at the end of a flight, which product full of gasoline I'd rather have being crunched around me and a hot and/or burning engine.
