Lights in the gas tank!
I'v done some tests on putting lights on the tanks to make it easier to see how much fuel you have. It works like the cat's mew!!

cool idea
I like that idea. Just buy some LED's at auto zone and mount them...then have a switch on the panel.
I may use that!

Gary,
Those look like a high intensity prefabbed
set. Where did you get them? Or did you
make them?
Thanks again for a great idea!

There are many things that happen really fast when you are
flying an airplane. There is no sense in rushing any of the others.
I would much rather be looking down at the runway, than up at it.

Tank Lights
Hey you clever guys that put the LED's to light the tanks, - Now that you've had a chance to fly those birds, do the lights work?
Can you actually see the fuel level better? How about in sunlight?
"Just" wondering if I should follow suit before the fabric goes on. (Yeah, I know, what took me so long?)
Thanks,
Wes

Yep, works great at low light. I never have had to turn them on during the day. So, leaving very early in the morning and coming home late they are nice to have so you don't have to keep tipping your wing to see movement.
