Has anyone looked into a good strobe/nav wingtip light system?  Is the one that JA sells the best option, or is there a reasonable and perhaps cheaper option?

I used the Kuntzleman double dual magnum.  Haven't fired it up yet.  It is light, easy to install, and others have recommended.

Jamie told me about the LED X-Pac Strobe kit that
Aircraft Spruce sells. P/N 11-04485, $399.00,
page 445 in the 2007 catalog.

It has a single cabin mounted power supply
with led position & anti-collision lights.

I want an LED set for lower power consumption,
and the combo means I don't have to wire
anything to my vertical stab & stobes are
a must. They will mount in the kit supplied
tip fairings.

That is what I have.  They are great and an easy set up.  I will do some pictures after my friend does some fiberglass work on them.  ;o)

This Skybrite system here has white rear lights, programable strobes and position lights all in one sealed bubble dome unit which is ready to bolt onto the fairings that have been laboriously blended into the wingtips, then sealed with RTV. About $500 as I recall.
